I’m Steve, a Dorset-based event, music, sport and portrait photographer with a passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments through the lens of my camera. I work predominantly in the Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire regions but I am always happy to travel anywhere.
I have shot many different genres during my 40+ years of photography, but feel I am at my best when capturing people. Having always been a people watcher, I’ve learnt to take photos ‘about’ people rather than ‘of’ them. My usual style is environmental or documentary photos that tell a story about the subject and convey their personality.
Have a look around and if you like my style and would like to discuss working with me, please feel free to get in touch. I like nothing more than a coffee and a chat.

‘We are incredibly grateful to Steve for covering our event in Freemasons’ Hall, London with our Patron, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, and with over 100 guests in attendance. Steve was very knowledgeable about issues we should consider from a photography perspective, which enabled us to check them before the event itself, helping things to run as smoothly as possible. His attention to detail meant that no opportunity was missed during the evening.
Steve calmly, discreetly and professionally took photos of HRH The Princess Royal, our CEO, speakers, partners and our guests which helped everyone to feel at complete ease, and as a result we received high quality images that captured the atmosphere of the evening perfectly. With thanks to Steve, we will have photographs of a special event that we can use for many years to come.’
